Presidential Pioneer in Hospitality Award Nominations
The Tourism Department is looking for a “Few Good People” that give exemplary service to their customers.
We would like for you to tell us about someone who has gone above and beyond the call of duty in customer service — your bag boy at the grocery store, a department store clerk, a gas station attendant or the server at a local restaurant.
The Tourism Department will be conducting its annual Presidential Pioneer in Hospitality Award program during National Tourism Week May 7-13, a week-long observance of the role that tourism plays in our economy.
The Presidential Pioneer in Hospitality Award will recognize front-line service personnel who give their all to make the customers’ visits to their establishment enjoyable and memorable ones.
We need your help to recognize these community ambassadors. If any front-line service personnel have impressed you with their personal attention, take a moment to nominate them for the
Presidential Pioneer in Hospitality Award.
NOTE: Please do not nominate employees from your place of business because we want to draw from your personal experience as a customer. However, we will accept correspondence you have received from a customer complimenting your employee on special service.
The Tourism Department will select up to five winners to be recognized. A committee from the Tourism Department will pay a visit to the honorees’ places of business during working hours to present the awards, which will include personalized plaques.
